Coaches Cook and Meister are nominated for prestigious
PCA Double Goal Coach Award !
For “providing a positive, character-building youth sports experience,” John Cook of the Pasadena Chapter of the Los Angeles Lacrosse League and Charlie Meister, Co-founder, of the Los Angeles Lacrosse League have been nominated for the national Double-Goal Coach Award from the Positive Coaching Alliance and Liberty Mutual.
According to the Positive Coaching Alliance, “Double-Goal Coaches want to win but have a second, more important goal – to help players develop positive character traits that will help them be successful in life.”
The annual Double-Goal award “recognizes coaches from throughout the United States, whose actions and programs not only teach players athletic skills but also help them develop skills that will serve them well throughout their lifetimes.”
Fifty finalists will be selected in late January and 20 winners will be announced in February. An unidentified member(s) of the Los Angeles Lacrosse League community nominated Cook and Meister for the award.
“Thank you to the person or persons who nominated us for the award and to all the parents, coaches, and administrators that volunteer their time for kids in the LALL community. There are many deserving coaches throughout the Chapters of the Los Angeles Lacrosse League, both John and I are proud of their contributions and happy to represent them.” said Meister.
